Clothing Room

The Clothing Program provides cost-free help for families and individuals in need. Currently, there are over 450 visits per month.

Tuesdays 10:30am -12pm and 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Thursdays  10:30am -12pm and 3:00pm - 5:00pm

To donate to the clothing room, please drop off clean and gently used clothing in clear bags. No household items, furniture or stuffed animals please.

Emergency Food Pantry

The Emergency Food Pantry is available to anyone in need and currently supports over 50 families per month.

Service available from 10:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

Please contact us to donate.
Though all donations are accepted and greatly needed, we are always in need of:
  • Canned Fruit 
  • Rice
  • Pasta 
  • Peanut Butter 

Back to Work Centre

Are you applying for a new job? Nervous for your interview? Don’t know what to wear? Visit our Back to Work Room to access helpful resources, such as formal wear, and services, such as resume critiquing.

Call to schedule an appointment, or come into the centre between 10am-6pm for assistance based on staff availability.

City School By Mohawk

City School by Mohawk is a community-based initiative that aims to break down barriers to education and employment. Through community consultation with the Eva Rothwell Centre, City School by Mohawk focuses on developing specialized learning programs, workshops and services that will encourage gradual steps to a postsecondary pathway. City School by Mohawk is making learning accessible and timely to increase access to postsecondary education and employment.

St. Matthew’s House – Senior Drop-In Program

St. Matthew’s House, Seniors’ Drop-in Program offers a range of social and recreational activities, practical assistance and crisis support.

Services include but, are not limited to:
  •  Light breakfast daily (coffee, tea, toast)
  • Lunch daily
  • TV, movies, newspapers, books, games
  • Assistance with access to services , interpretation, problem-solving
Hours of operations are Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm

The City of Hamilton, Public Health Department will be running clinics to screen and offer parents help and assistance in treating head lice.
